Alumni Interim President's Message
Over the past few years a myriad of individuals have been working assiduously towards the formation of a formidable alumni. I must candidly admit that this journey have been resilient enough to withstand the usual vicissitudes of life. Even though there have been countless bottlenecks and a seemingly collapse anytime a conscious effort is made, I am pleased to inform Wisconsinites that the Alumni has not only emerged from what will have been termed as a fiasco but also in its quest to galvanise itself for success, it has developed a structure worthy to engineer this auspicious beginning into a promising future.
In June 2009 representatives of some year groups met to formulate requisite measures that will serve as a catalyst for a formidable association. It became imperative that all year groups should be inculcated thus within some few weeks this prerequisite was met. I am highly elated to inform you that all year groups are well represented. The representation that constitute the first Interim Executive Committee have been working their fingers to bone, to ensure that all the nitty-gritty of the association is properly handled. To them I say a very big thanks for the meritorious service they have rendered and the continuous insight they inject into the Alumni. I am privileged to work with these astute ladies and gentlemen who have availed themselves for this herculean task. Once again I say Kudos.
What might seem mind boggling yet attainable is the constitution of the Alumni. The sub-committee on Alumni Constitution under the auspices of the Interim Executive Committee of Wisconsin Alumni has indefatigably completed the formulation of a comprehensive constitution for the Alumni. I am pleased to inform you that this masterpiece has since been reviewed by a legal counsel. Copies will be sent to you for your perusal. Our first general assembly meeting will be held imminently for its acceptance and to also discuss pertinent issues regarding the way forward for the Alumni association.
Fellow Wisconsinites, joining the alumni does not only bring fringe benefits which will be enumerated on our webpage but also offers a great opportunity for us to decide, determine, help and control the salient affairs of our alma mater. We must be the change we want to see and if that change will be realized then the Alumni will serve as the Platform to orchestrate this change. I will therefore implore all and sundry to join us by registering via www.wiuc-ghana.edu.gh and also find mates and exchange ideas through facebook a social network by joining the group “Wisconsin Alumni”. Your suggestions can be sent via alumni@wiuc-ghana.edu.gh.
WIUCA (Wisconsin International University College Alumni) has come to stay, be on board to avoid any nays, with us together we can stand any bay, tell others about the sparkling WIUCA ray, WIUCA is not to be betrayed, today we have been visited by a Fay, let’s join our hands on the WIUCA tray, as we say and pray for an everlasting stay.
