The Economics Students Association has launched a new club on campus to promote the study of economics. The executives were sworn in at a ceremony at Wisconsin’s Main Campus in 13th April 2018, attended by the Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, and the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
A simulation specialist from Concordia University in Michigan, USA is training students and faculty of Wisconsin’s School of Nursing how to use recently acquired state-of-art simulators – possibly the first of their kind in West Africa.
The Executive Secretary of the National Media Commission has advised journalists to take advantage of print media to tackle the ‘fake news’ phenomenon. Mr. George Sarpong was speaking at the launch of Wisconsin News, a campus and community newspaper produced by Communications students at Wisconsin.
Wisconsin has hosted representatives from various embassies at the first Vice Chancellor’s Forum of the year. The Vice Chancellor’s Forum is an initiative aimed at strengthening relationships with key stakeholders.
Wisconsin has become the first institution in the country to offer the BSc. Community Health Nursing degree programme. The University College has also received a license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana to run the BSc. Midwifery programme.
